Letter of Intent

What is a letter of intent?

A letter of intent is a letter stating that you wish to apply or run for an elected position. This letter is required to be submitted by the due date stated by the President. If a letter is not submitted, then you will not be considered for an appointed position, or be allowed to run for an elected position.

What is required for a letter of intent?

Appointed Position:

For an appointed letter, you must include multiple types of information.

  • Why you want the position
  • What you will continue with the position
  • What you will do differently with the position
  • Why are you the most qualified brother for the position

Your letter will be important to your potential appointment to the position. Before the position is voted on, it is read aloud to the Exec.

Elected Position:

For an elected position, you must include multiple types of information.

  • Why you want the position
  • Why you are the most qualified brother for the position

Less is needed for an elected position's letter of intent. A brother will convey all other necessary information during their speech at elections.

Below, you can submit your letter of intent for either an appointed position or for an elected position.
